U.S. Attorney General February 5, 2025 - April 2, 2026; former Attorney General of Florida (2011-2019)
Background
Pam Bondi is an American attorney and politician who served as U.S. Attorney General in the first year of the second Trump administration. She previously served as Attorney General of Florida from 2011 to 2019, a period during which her office declined to investigate Trump University after a political committee supporting her received a donation connected to the Trump Foundation. At her 2025 confirmation hearing she declined to state directly that Donald Trump had lost the 2020 election, and as Attorney General she oversaw a Justice Department that pursued investigations and prosecutions of Trump’s political opponents, including James Comey and Letitia James.
