Background
Jeffrey Goldberg is an American journalist who has served as editor in chief of The Atlantic since 2016. In March 2025, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz inadvertently added Goldberg to a Signal group chat in which senior officials discussed an imminent military strike, and Goldberg’s reporting on the messages exposed the episode that became known as Signalgate.
