World Liberty Financial (WLF) is a cryptocurrency venture associated with Donald Trump and his family. WLF solicited purchases of its tokens and stablecoin from investors including foreign nationals and individuals under regulatory scrutiny; at least one SEC investigation involving a major WLF investor was dropped after that investor made payments to the firm, and the United Arab Emirates committed $2 billion to Binance using WLF’s stablecoin.
