62 Failed Election Lawsuits
🟤 Election Tampering ·
Nov–Dec 2020
Summary
Following the 2020 election, Trump’s campaign and allied plaintiffs filed 62 lawsuits challenging election results across six swing states. 61 of the 62 courts rejected their claims. Courts held hearings on the merits in 30 cases, 29 failed. Trump’s one win involved a procedural matter in Pennsylvania that did not affect the outcome. It regarded the timing of new voters in Pennsylvania to submit identification to cure their ballots. This case was overturned by Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court. Eight conservative legal experts published ‘Lost, Not Stolen’ in 2022, concluding: ‘These cases provided the forums in which Trump and his supporters could and should have proven their claims. This Report shows that those efforts failed because of a lack of evidence.’ Rudy Giuliani presented selectively edited Georgia surveillance footage to state legislators as ‘a smoking gun’ of fraud on December 3, 2020, a claim immediately refuted by Republican election officials including Georgia’s own Gabriel Sterling, who stated the footage showed only ‘normal ballot processing.‘
