Epstein Files Cover-Up

🟣 Cover-ups & Obstruction · Nov 2025, ongoing

Summary

Despite campaign promises from Trump allies to fully release the Epstein files, the White House initially resisted releasing them. In November 2025, Rep. Robert Garcia stated ‘Donald Trump is leading a White House cover-up.’ Elon Musk posted on X that Trump ‘is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.’ When files were eventually released (late 2025), the DOJ removed a photo of Trump from Epstein’s mansion, briefly posting and then deleting it, and applied inconsistent redactions. A later release included DOJ documents noting Trump had flown on Epstein’s plane 8 times and a Mar-a-Lago subpoena from the Maxwell case. The DOJ explicitly denied redacting names ‘on the basis of embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity’, but inconsistencies continued. Congress found some released files had been ‘disappeared from the Justice Department’s public webpage within a day.‘
