Background
The United States Courts of Appeals are the intermediate appellate courts of the federal judiciary, organized into 13 circuits that review decisions of the federal district courts. The D.C. Circuit ruled on the lawfulness of Donald Trump’s removal of agency board members, the Fourth Circuit allowed the immigration judges’ speech case to proceed before being reversed by the Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit temporarily stayed an order against the Los Angeles National Guard deployment, and the Second Circuit affirmed the E.
